How to measure the performance of your SEO, if you are doing it right or not?


As a matter of fact SEO (Search engine optimization) is a combination of Science and Art. You can count your site’s SEO performance and also can manage it through those marketing channels. First you should know what you are doing. SEO is not simple, it takes time and patience. Whatever you do, it should be perfect. SEO includes smaller thing like sites look and up to those bigger factors like search or social ranking. To manage what is best for you and you should continue that step or not, I wrote this article. 

1.       Observe what is better for your site:-

There are a lot of ecommerce website that want to measure their organic search traffic and revenue. They sell their products on these websites but still they are earning from other advertising agencies. So at first you should know what is best for you, earning from your advertising agency or selling products. Some people don’t even think of that factor. It is the most important one. For example, if you are selling a product and there is an advertisement place below your product that will redirect the user to another website. You might earn from that advertisement but will not get your highest position in search engine world.

2.       Organize your data for SEO:-

You might have Google analytics for your website. It is an easiest way to keep observing your sites stats but the best thing about it is the keyword analysis. Simply copy and paste your stats in excel sheet and observe the keywords. Write more about those keywords, it will not only increase your sites rank but also that you will be recognized by search engines. Also check out what are the recent trends in Google Trends. Search a keyword and write about the medium one. Selecting medium keyword will let you on top of that search query. It really helps.

3.       Indexing of your data for SEO:-

You cannot simply get organic search traffic or sales if the search engines are not indexing your website properly. Observe the monthly indexing of your site by the top level search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. If you will work according to these search engines algorithm then the other search engines will automatically index your website. The best way to index your website on Google and other search engines is ‘Site Map’ by using Webmaster Tool. Sitemap not only tells the search engines to update the index hourly but also helps to organize your links. You can login to Webmaster tool daily and can get the index status, sitemap reports, errors, stat charts and downloading activity.
